If you wish to convert the entire amount, then you can place a limit order with the buffer amount of USD 2 (or non-USD equivalent) which will be charged for commissions in your base currency.



Kindly follow the below steps to convert currency from Client Portal:



1) Login to Client Portal



2) Click on “Trade” (on top-right corner)



3) In an empty ticker row, type in USD.ILS and hit Enter (as you would for a stock symbol).



4) Select "Forex"



5) Create a BUY order (to buy USD, sell equivalent amount of ILS).



6) Modify the quantity you wish to convert (in terms of USD) and the order type (i.e. LMT). If you wish to convert the entire amount, then you can place a limit order with the buffer amount of USD 2 or equivalent amount for commission on your currency conversion that is charged in your account base currency (USD).



7) Click "Preview" and if everything is ok, click "Submit"



Note :



- The action (Buy/Sell) will be for the first currency in the pair.



- Order quantity is by default in terms of units of the first currency of the pair.



- Only one symbol is available for each currency pair, for ex. USD.ILS is available but not ILS.USD



- Residual cash balances in non-base currency (less than USD 5 or non USD-equivalent) are converted automatically in base currency within 2 working days at no cost for clients.



- Forex commission will be charged in your base currency.



- For market order, system assume a buffer of approximately 5%.



IBKR offers competitive commissions on Forex, starting at 0.20 basis point * trade value, with a minimum of 2.00 USD (or non-USD currency equivalent) per order.

0.2 זה בעצם 0.2% מהסכום?



2 דולר זה מינימום, נכון?



כלומר בכל מקרה אני מחוייב ב2 דולר, ואם 0.2% זה יותר מ2 דולר אז אני מחויב ב0.2%.
